About This Market

Experience the bounty and vibrancy of local agriculture at the UBC Farm Farmers’ Market! Situated on the scenic Vancouver campus of the University of British Columbia, this market is not just a place to buy food—it’s a destination to explore healthy and sustainable food systems, learn about food literacy, and immerse yourself in the local food economy.

At the UBC Farm Farmers’ Market, you can indulge in a range of certified organic and farm-fresh produce, including seasonal vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. Open for the 2023 growing season from June through November, the market operates three times a week; Tuesdays and Saturdays at the UBC Farm, and Wednesdays in front of the UBC Bookstore. Saturdays are especially lively with a multi-vendor market featuring an array of local goods, live music, and a friendly atmosphere.

The market encourages sustainability by accepting various forms of payment and urging visitors to bring their own bags. You can also sign up for a CSA box, purchase wholesale, or explore their selection of seeds online. Support this unique educational and community resource by becoming a Friend of the Farm for special deals and discounts. Parking is available, and engagement with the community is enhanced through events, volunteer opportunities, and guided tours.

Please note that the UBC Farm has chosen not to keep chickens this season, so there will be no farm eggs for sale. However, they plan to include pasture-raised chickens in future research and teaching endeavors.

For a local and enriching experience, immerse yourself in the UBC Farm Farmers’ Market—where food, education, and community connect.
